Every day in Indonesia, many pets are left alone on the streets. They hungry, scared, and without a safe place to go. People want to help, but they often don’t know where to report, how to adopt, or who to contact, so the cycle keeps happening.

Through research, we focused on building a platform that centralizes rescue information, simplifies adoption, strengthens community support, and provides useful insights to improve animal welfare in every step.

We talked with 4 animal lovers over Google Meet to understand how they usually find lost pets and what challenges they face with abandoned animals. We asked questions like: What makes adopting or helping animals difficult? What tools would make it easier? Their answers gave us clear ideas to start shaping RescueRoute but what solutions did we come up with next?

From our small round of interviews, we learned a lot about how people interact with animal adoption. One participant shared that they often feel lost navigating adoption sites, not knowing where to find pets or how the process works. Two others mentioned that they want quick ways to help abandoned animals, like notifications or reminders, because they care but don’t have much time. Another participant highlighted the importance of connecting with a community of animal lovers to share tips and experiences.

The final product delivers a seamless and trustworthy herbal experience for users. Herbalyze successfully helps people identify plants quickly, understand their benefits safely, and stay consistent with their herbal routines through guided steps and reminders. The integrated community features also give users a space to learn from others, share discoveries, and build collective knowledge.
All core flows from plant scanning to expert consultation and recipe guidance function smoothly in the prototype and development build. User testing showed that the app’s navigation feels intuitive, the information is easy to absorb, and the visual design supports clarity without overwhelming the user. Overall, Herbalyze provides a complete, modern, and accessible solution for anyone wanting to explore herbal wellness with confidence.
